FAQ

Why Panther City name?

Panther City is a nickname for our beloved city of Fort Worth and we claim this city proudly! The origin of the nickname actually dates back to 1875, a time when the rivalry between Dallas and Fort Worth was just as strong as it is today. A column was published in the Dallas Daily Herald reporting that Fort Worth was such a sleepy town, nobody seemed to notice a giant panther roaming the streets of downtown. Instead of taking insult, our city boldly took ownership of the report and have since proudly claimed ourselves to be Panther City!

How does the process work?
We have outlined this for you on ourĀ process page.
What BBQ Equipment do you suggest?

Everyone uses their outdoor space differently. We will walk you through the selection process at our showroom at The Collective Outdoors. There you will be able to touch and feel all of the equipment to get a better idea of what would work best for your space. We will also provide a 3D design rendering before installation.

Can we add electrical for a fan or lights?

Most jobs we add electrical (for fans or lights) or plumbing (for a gas line or outdoor sink). We can include that in the project to provide a turn key project.

Can you mount a T.V. for us?
Most definitely we can, we also work with an Audio Video company if you want to completely automate your new backyard.
Will I need to move sprinkler heads before you pour our new patio?

We work weekly with a local sprinkler company to move irrigation before construction starts and adjust coverage for the addition and the test entire system at the end of the job. We include relocating the irrigation for the project if required with our quote. We will provide a separate estimate for any additional work needed for another part of the property.

Permits

If your homeowners association requires approval and city permits, we help with the process from start to finish including documents for HOA and City Planning. Some projects require engineering (structural and drainage) and we can assist in acquiring that as well.
